As part of its mission, Musical Artists Theatre believes in bringing quality entertainment directly to the audience. Besides producing shows at our Riverside Stage location in South Baltimore, we create touring productions and present them where our patrons reside.
Our concert musicals are unique. Each is a Broadway show condensed into one hour. Presenting more than just the memorable songs, our actors tell the story as well, performing in character with costumes, props, dialogue and choreography.
These shows are especially popular with senior audiences. Since 2010 we have entertained residents at Ashby Ponds, Blakehurst, Brightview, Brightwood, Buckinghams Choice, Carroll Lutheran Village, Charlestown, Edenwald, Leisure World, Mercy Ridge, North Oaks, Oak Crest, Roland Park Place, The Village at Orchard Ridge, and Weinberg Village, all of whom bring us back year after year. Past productions include Annie Get Your Gun, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma!, Guys & Dolls, South Pacific, I Do! I Do!, and Show Boat, as well as concert versions of Les Miserables and Cats.
For our 2023-2024 season, which runs from October through March, we’ll be offering Carousel. We also present programs tailored to your individual needs. These nostalgic concerts will have the audience singing along with the beloved songs of Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Oscar Hammerstein II and Irving Berlin.
